 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Two Escape Death in Osun Hit-and-Run Accident


Two individuals narrowly escaped death in a hit-and-run accident along the Ife-Ondo Road in Osun State on Monday.


According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Osun Sector Command, the crash, involving a black TVS motorcycle without a registration number, occurred around 12:50 p.m. near Ali Ahanran bends, about four kilometres from the FRSC base.


FRSC spokesperson Agnes Ogungbemi, citing the Ifetedo Outpost report, said the likely cause was speed violation. The motorcycle rider, identified as Mutiu, and one passenger sustained injuries and were taken to Truman Hospital in Ondo for treatment.


Emergency responders arrived within eight minutes, recovering two Itel mobile phones and ₦59,500 in cash from the scene. The hit-and-run incident remains under investigation.


Sector Commander Taofeeq Sokunbi urged motorists to observe speed limits and drive responsibly to prevent avoidable accidents.
