 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Gospel singer Big Bolaji buried in Ibadan


Popular Nigerian gospel artiste, Bolaji Olanrewaju, popularly known as Big Bolaji, has been laid to rest in Ibadan, Oyo State, following his death on April 19 after a brief illness.

He was 50 years old.

The final rites began on Wednesday with a funeral service and lying-in-state held at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan.

The solemn event drew family members, close friends, and a host of fellow gospel singers who came to pay their last respects.

Among those in attendance were notable figures in the gospel music community, including Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, Yetunde Are, and popular comedian, Woli Agba.

Emotional moments captured on social media showed pallbearers carrying Bolaji’s flower-decked casket into the venue, as mourners gathered in silence.

A moving tribute video chronicling his musical journey and spiritual impact was played during the service, drawing tears and applause from attendees.

Following the service, the burial procession proceeded to All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan, where Big Bolaji was laid to rest.

His wife, siblings, and loved ones stood in quiet reflection as the singer was committed to the earth.
