 I can’t act porn – Kiitan Bukola

Actress and filmmaker, Kiitan Bukola, has said that while she loves challenging herself with diverse roles, there’s one character she would never act in a pornographic movie.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, she said “As long as it’s not the role of a porn star, I am ready to play any role. I love to challenge myself.”

Kiitan also addressed some of the themes explored in her recent film titled, ‘Inequality’, which she said focuses on the power dynamics in marriages where women are more financially buoyant than their husbands.

“I don’t see a problem with it because some women are born to be great and they are born to rule. But just don’t be arrogant. Because you have money doesn’t mean you should disrespect your husband. Be peaceful, calm and respectful. You can even support your husband with your money,” she advised.

Drawing from her personal experiences, she highlighted how insecurity and low self-esteem from partners could affect relationships, especially when the woman is in the spotlight.

“As an actress, there are some men that cannot stand me, because they believe I will be seeing other men that are more financially secure. I see that as low self-esteem. As a man, you don’t need to have low self-esteem, you just need to be focused on whatever you are doing, as far as she respects you, and you haven’t seen her do wrong,” she said.
