  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure. ILLINOIS: THREE FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS POLICE OFFICERS WERE SHOT LATE SATURDAY NIGHT. (PHOTO).

 Illinois- Three Fairview Heights police officers were shot late Saturday night. 


Fairview Heights PD were called to the report of a suspicious individual prowling near homes on Potomac Drive. Officers arrived on the scene a little before 10:00 p.m. and made contact with an individual who matched the description of the prowler. Officers reported the suspect was involved in what they described as a "domestic situation".


As police arrived on the scene and began to intervene, the suspect opened fire on the officers. One officer was struck in the face, while another was shot in the arm. A third officer was struck in the back, luckily his Kevlar vest prevented the bullet from penetrating the officer. 


The suspect was subdued, however, two additional officers were injured while making the arrest.  


The officer who was shot in the face was rushed to a nearby hospital where she underwent emergency surgery. She is listed in critical but stable condition. The officer struck in the arm suffered a broken bone as a result of the gunshot wound. He remains in the hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.  All other injured officers were treated and released. 


The suspect has not been identified and remains in custody at this time. The Illinois State Police have taken over the investigation at this point.


Our thoughts are with the injured officers and their families. We hope they have full recoveries.
