  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  NAPTIP DG's shocking revelation: 19 girls impregnated by one man in Abuja


Hajia Binta Adamu Bello, the Director-General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has revealed that the agency recently rescued 19 girls who were impregnated by one man from an estate in Abuja.

Hajia Bello disclosed this during at a strategic meeting with Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) in Abuja on Friday.

He said the rescue of the pregnant girls was typical of the growing menace and challenge of human trafficking in the country.

“We rescued last week 19 girls all pregnant for one man in an estate in Abuja, received 9 girls from Cote D’ivoire, and other sordid stories to mention here”, she said.

Hajia Bello thanked Dabiri-Erewa for NiDCOM’s support, especially in the recent rescue of 231 young Nigerians from Ghana.

She agreed that tackling human trafficking requires joint action from government, society, and key stakeholders.

The Director General, NAPTIP, stressed the need for more awareness across all levels to highlight the dangers of trafficking,

Recognising NiDCOM’s role in engaging with Nigerians in the diaspora, she expressed her commitment to strengthening the NiDCOM-NAPTIP relationship.

Bello assured that the Agency will continue to protect the rights and dignity of Nigerians against trafficking in persons.

Also, while speaking the NiDCOM boss called for a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approaches against human trafficking in Nigeria. Nigeria: Nigerian fashion

Dabiri-Erewa noted that while progress has been made, more needs to be done. She stressed the traffickers should be named and shamed while enforcing stricter penalties as a deterrent to other criminal actors.

She said NAPTIP cannot work alone and called for closer collaboration with NiDCOM, the National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), and other sister agencies, to curb the menace

She also pushed for more flexible policies and better funding to help NAPTIP to fully carry out its mandate against the menace.

The NiDCOM boss thanked the First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), neighbouring governments, Nigerian Diaspora Communities, Wema bank and NGOs for helping to rescue and reintegrate trafficked victims. Nigeria: Nigerian fashion

“We will continue to do our best to save these young ones and encourage safe and regular pathways for migration”.
