 Southeast Senators Slam FG Over N380bn Irrigation Fund Exclusion


Southeast senators have criticized the Federal Government for excluding the region from a N380bn irrigation fund in the 2025 budget.


Senator Kenneth Eze (Ebonyi Central) said the Anambra-Imo River Basin, the only one serving the Southeast, was left out, while other regions received significant allocations.


He called the exclusion unjust and a violation of equity under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, urging immediate corrective action.
