  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs).  The Trump administration has terminated a $600 million contract with Moderna to develop a bird flu vaccine, citing safety concerns about mRNA technology. 

This decision comes as H5N1 continues spreading through livestock, with over 173 million birds culled and nearly 1,000 cattle herds infected. While 70 humans have been infected with one death reported, scientists warn the virus could mutate into a more dangerous form.


HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon stated this decision reflects concerns about mRNA being "under-tested," despite the technology's successful deployment during COVID-19. Moderna defended their research, showing their bird flu vaccine produces a "rapid, potent and durable immune response."


This move raises critical questions about balancing safety protocols with pandemic preparedness.
