 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  COURT GRANTS BAIL TO 70-YEAR-OLD MAN ACCUSED OF VANDALISING PUBLIC ASSET


A Magistrate Court in Bolade, Oshodi, on Monday granted bail to a 70-year-old suspect, Mr. Kayode Otitoju, who was arraigned on a two-count charge after he was arrested on Sunday at Lekki Phase 1 for vandalising an ongoing fence work project by the canal setback being undertaken by the State Government.


The Court granted the accused, who pleaded not guilty to the two-count charges preferred against him, bail after an application by the defence counsel, Oluwaseun Ettu, Esq., for bail on the most lenient terms, including N200,000 bond, One Surety, Presentation of three-year tax receipts and Verification of address.


The case has been adjourned to 25th July 2025 for commencement of the trial. However, the accused is yet to meet the bail conditions at the time of compiling this report.
