 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  DEMOCRACY DAY: ANAMBRA POLICE INITIATES A WALK FOR SAFETY AND CAMPAIGN AGAINST KIDNAPPING AND VIOLENT CRIMES IN THE STATE.


_Continues to leverage on Community support through the Platform of the State Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC)_


The Anambra State Police Command today 12th June, 2025 initiated a Walk for Safety and led a Campaign Against Kidnapping and other Violent Crimes by leveraging on the community support under the platform of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC). The Walk aims to promote peace and combat violent crimes in the State. 


During the Walk initiative at the Area Command in Nnewi, Nkwo Triangle, Nwafor Orizu Roundabout, First Bank Junction all in Nnewi, and Nnobi Junction the importance of collaboration in maintaining peace and security was highlighted. It also raised awareness about the impact of violent crimes, the need to foster a culture of peace and non-violence and strengthen the  relationships between the Police and the community. 


This initiative can help to build trust, encourage community engagement, thereby contribute to a safer environment in the State.
