 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  DEMOCRACY DAY: ANAMBRA POLICE INITIATES A WALK FOR SAFETY AND CAMPAIGN AGAINST KIDNAPPING AND VIOLENT CRIMES IN THE STATE.


_Continues to leverage on Community support through the Platform of the State Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC)_


The Anambra State Police Command today 12th June, 2025 initiated a Walk for Safety and led a Campaign Against Kidnapping and other Violent Crimes by leveraging on the community support under the platform of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC). The Walk aims to promote peace and combat violent crimes in the State. 


During the Walk initiative at the Area Command in Nnewi, Nkwo Triangle, Nwafor Orizu Roundabout, First Bank Junction all in Nnewi, and Nnobi Junction the importance of collaboration in maintaining peace and security was highlighted. It also raised awareness about the impact of violent crimes, the need to foster a culture of peace and non-violence and strengthen the  relationships between the Police and the community. 


This initiative can help to build trust, encourage community engagement, thereby contribute to a safer environment in the State.
