 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  DEMS WANT TRUMP IMPEACHED OVER IRAN BOMBING


Several Democratic lawmakers have voiced their desire to have President Donald Trump impeached over his decision to bomb Iran.


While numerous world leaders have voiced their shock and disapproval that the US got involved in the Israel-Iran war, even a few Republicans have expressed their disappointment with Trump.


Republican Thomas Massie said without mincing words that it "is not constitutional" for Donald Trump to order a strike on Iran.


Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has spoken against the strikes, said what the president did is outside the books. 


Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democrat, made it clear that “the President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorisation is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers.


“He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”


So far, only Democrats have clamoured for Trump's impeachment despite some of them acknowledging that they lack the votes to press through with their demands.
