 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  BECE: Two students miss Maths paper after being locked up by Headmaster for owing school fees


Two BECE candidates from Big Six International School in Meduma missed their Mathematics paper after their headmaster allegedly locked them up over unpaid fees. 


The students were to write the exam at Simms High School in Fawoade but were reportedly confined and denied access to the centre.


According to Citi News, the headmaster allegedly detained the candidates over unpaid school fees, barring them from leaving the school premises in time to write the exam.
