 GOVERNOR UBA APPRECIATES PRESIDENT TINUBU ON THE AWARD OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WORTH  ₦1.178 TRILLION IN KADUNA STATE   Kaduna State governor has extended appreciation to President Tinubu, and the Federal Executive Council for the approval and award of transformative infrastructure contracts that will indelibly reshape the economic and social landscape of the state.   The statement personally signed by the governor lists the projects as follows; the Kaduna Light Rail Project an ambitious undertaking spanning a Kilometers corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha, alongside a Kilometers line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre metropolitan network with an estimated value of One Trillion Naira. Complementing this is the critical reconstruction of the Mando–Kaduna– Birnin Gwari road, a 122-kilometre artery valued at ₦178 billion.  Nollywood Actor Odira Nwobu Survives Deadly Crash in Lagos, Others Feared Dead


Nollywood actor Odira Nwobu narrowly escaped death in a tragic auto crash along the Lagos Expressway in the early hours of Thursday, June 26, 2025. Eyewitnesses reported that Nwobu was the sole survivor, with all other occupants of the vehicle feared dead at the scene. The exact number of casualties and their identities have yet to be officially confirmed.


The cause of the accident remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal crash. Emergency services responded swiftly, evacuating the deceased and clearing the wreckage to alleviate significant traffic congestion caused by the incident.


News of the accident has sent shockwaves through Nollywood, with fans and industry colleagues flooding social media with messages of relief for Nwobu’s survival and condolences for the lives lost. The actor, renowned for his comedic roles in Nollywood films, is currently receiving medical attention.
