 ACCOMPLICES FLEE AS VANDAL MEETS WATERLOO ON ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION LINE

A yet-to-be-identified electricity vandal has met his waterloo in Ezillo, Ebonyi State, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said.


TCN said the vandal was electrocuted while trying to tamper with Tower 34 along the Nkalagu-Abakaliki 132kV transmission line.


According to the transmission company, security operatives informed the TCN about the incident on July 19, 2025.


It was also gathered that the accomplices to the crimes fled the location when their effort to vandalise the property went awry.


In a photo post made on X on Thursday, July 24, the TCN said, “Vandal electrocuted at Ezillo, Ebonyi State, while attempting to tamper with Tower 34 along the Nkalagu-Abakaliki 132kV transmission line.


“Security operatives informed TCN on July 19, 2025, that the accomplices fled after the incident,” the TCN wrote on X.


Vandals have continued to rake havoc on various electricity property across the nation.


In the northern part of the nation, bandits have also been known to vandalise electricity property in the region leaving residents in total blackout.
