 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  ANAMBRA POLICE CONTINUES TO LEVERAGE ON THE VIGILANCE AND TIMELY/NECESSARY INFORMATION OF NDI ANAMBRA: RECOVERS AN ABANDONED AK-47 RIFLE FROM A ROOF IN AN APARTMENT AT IGBOUKWU, AGUATA LGA


The Anambra State Police Command leveraging on necessary information from the good indigenes of the State today 11th July 2025 by 12:30pm recovered an abandoned AK-47 rifle in a residential apartment under renovation at Ihuowele Ngo Village, Igboukwu, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.


Preliminary investigation revealed that a certain man known as Samson, allegedly identified as a notorious individual and the former occupant of the apartment, may be connected to the weapon. Samson has not been seen in the area since June 2024, and efforts are currently ongoing to track and apprehend him.


The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD has commended the vigilance of the community members and reiterated the importance of Community-Police collaboration. He urged Ndi Anambra to continue to provide timely and actionable information that would aid the Police in delivering on its Mandate of Protecting Lives and Property.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
