Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search.  APC Members Protest, Demand Removal of Lagos State Party Chairman


Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State are currently staging a protest in front of the State House of Assembly, calling for the removal of the state party chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.


According to The Punch, the protesters — who include representatives from all 57 local government areas in the state — were seen carrying placards with inscriptions such as “Ojelabi Must Go” and “We Need New Leadership.”


The protest, which began earlier this Monday morning, has drawn significant attention from security agencies, with police officers occupying the Assembly complex to prevent any outbreak of violence or unrest.
