 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8. American singer Summer Walker has expressed her excitement about visiting Nigeria, saying she “can’t wait” to come to the country.

The R&B star admitted she feels apprehensive because she believes that once she visits Nigeria, she may never return to the United States.

The mother of three revealed her desire to relocate to Nigeria with her children and become the third wife of an African king.

Walker made the remarks during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra.

“I want to go to Nigeria so bad. But I’m scared because I know I won’t come back. I just want to take my kids and just like, we gone!” she said.

When asked what she had heard about Nigeria, Summer responded, “It just seems so fun. I had my first African dish the other day, it was good as heck. I just know I won’t come back. I would be somebody’s third wife. Me and my kids would be put up in some African king’s house. I know it.

“My nyash is good. I’m prepared. I’m ready. I’ve been waiting for this.”

She also disclosed that she had planned to celebrate her 29th birthday in Nigeria in April, but had to cancel after her children fell ill.

Walker assured fans that she still intends to visit the country soon.
