 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.   Michael Madsen, Hollywood Icon, Dies at 67


Michael Madsen passed away early Thursday at his Malibu home due to cardiac arrest, bringing an end to a storied career defined by his powerful performances as tough guys and anti‑heroes. Deputies who responded to a 911 call pronounced him dead on the scene.


These past two years saw Madsen passionately working on independent films like Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and preparing to release his first poetry collection, Tears for My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.


A trusted Quentin Tarantino collaborator, Madsen delivered unforgettable roles in Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He is survived by five children his eldest son, Hudson, tragically passed away in 2022.
