 Malian army withdraws from key Tessalit military camp: sources Mali’s army and its Russian mercenary allies have surrendered Camp Tessalit, a strategic military post in the north, multiple sources told the AFP news agency on Friday. An official from the Tuareg-led separatist group claimed soldiers and mercenaries at the camp had "surrendered", following a fierce fight over the weekend. Simultaneous attacks in Mali by militants linked to Al Qaeda and separatist Tuareg rebels on April 25 showed how fighters ​from different groups with different goals were able to strike at the heart of the West African country's military government. Gunfire and explosions were reported in the capital Bamako and around a large military base outside the capital, as well as Gao and central areas, as gunfire continuing in the northern city of Kidal.  ‎National Sports Commission To Buy Made-In-Aba sport Products from Abia State Government.

‎The Chairman National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko says the Commission will be partnering with the Abia State Government in patronising made in Aba products

‎Mallam Dikko who disclosed this on Wednesday when he led delegation of the commission on a courtesy visit to the Abia State Governor Dr Alex Otti also called on the government to set up a Sports Commission in the State that will be directly under his supervision.

‎He thanked Governor Otti for his unrelenting interest in sports development and his plans to develop a special economic zone which would serve as a rallying point for manufacturing of sports related products and expressed the Commission’s readiness to collaborate with the State in sports development.

‎Speaking during the visit Governor, Otti reaffirmed his commitment to partner with the commission and charged them to always patronize made in Aba sports shoes and other sports wear.

‎"When you talk of apparels, fabrics, shoes, and other fashion products, everything is in Abia. Yesterday, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, we commissioned the Aba Export Growth Lab. And the idea is to have a structured way to support apparels, garments and leather industrialists"

‎Otti promised them that Aba people will upgrade their products, make them more competitive, brand them properly, and also create access to markets, particularly international markets.
