 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Royal Caribbean crew member stabs coworker, dies after jumping overboard


A Royal Caribbean crew member died after jumping overboard Thursday night following an incident in which he stabbed a fellow crew member aboard the Icon of the Seas cruise ship, the Royal Bahamas Police Force reported.


The 35-year-old South African man allegedly stabbed a 28-year-old South African woman multiple times just before 7:30 p.m. while the ship was near San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. After the attack, the man fled and jumped off the vessel. Onboard medical personnel later found him deceased.


The woman sustained stab wounds to her upper body and is reported to be in stable condition. Royal Caribbean described the incident as a "personal dispute" but did not provide further details or identify those involved.


An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of the man’s death.
