TikTok prankster Heston Cobb arrested in Arizona after viral stunts disrupt local businesses
An Arizona TikToker was arrested after a series of viral pranks caused disruptions at local businesses, according to officials.
The Tempe Police Department took 21-year-old Heston Cobb into custody Thursday after linking him to social media accounts that posted videos of the stunts and identifying him as the leader of the group involved. Cobb faces charges including third-degree burglary, criminal impersonation, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass.
Between March and July, police received multiple complaints from businesses about a group of men who entered stores disguised as employees. They reportedly disrupted operations by accessing employee-only areas and refusing to leave when asked. Police said Cobb acted as the group's leader, directing others to “start working.” Some of the videos showed the men causing chaos inside businesses like Chipotle, where one man claimed he was called in to “clean house” over portion sizes, then summoned others to disrupt the restaurant while the manager called police. Other targeted Tempe businesses included Pep Boys, Hyland Auto Repair, Big Brand Tire & Service, and Jiffy Lube. It remains unclear if other members of the group have been identified or arrested.
