 South Africa says US misrepresented its policies after visa curbs South Africa's foreign ministry said on Wednesday that it ‌had noted with concern U.S. visa restrictions on some people from South Africa announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio a day earlier. The foreign ministry added in a statement that ⁠the U.S. announcement aligned with "the mischaracterisation of South Africa's domestic policies by fringe groups". "We maintain that challenges in our bilateral relations with the USA can only be resolved by constructive engagement through state actors on both sides of the diplomatic channel not unilateral acts," the statement said, Reuters reported. Trump has repeatedly criticized ‌South ⁠Africa since the start of his second term for what he falsely claims is the racial persecution of its white minority, citing affirmative action laws aimed at ⁠addressing the inequality that has persisted since apartheid.  TRUMP ASKS ZELENSKY IF HE COULD HIT MOSCOW IF GIVEN THE CHANCE


A report credited to Financial Times and published by The Sun revealed that Donald Trump allegedly wants Ukraine to hit Russia's two largest cities - Moscow and St. Petersburg.


According to the report, Trump in a phone call with Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky asked the latter if he could hit Moscow and he responded with an emphatic "yes."


"Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow? Can you hit St Petersburg too?” Trump reportedly asked during the call.


"Absolutely," Zelensky replied. "We can if you give us the weapons.”


It is evident from the July 4, 2025, phone call that Trump is tired of diplomatic games with Russia and wants to arm Ukraine to bring Vladimir Putin to his knees.
