 ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTED PRODUCERS OF ADULTERATED ALCOHOLIC DRINKS, RECOVERS COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad/VCRU have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the production and distribution of adulterated alcoholic beverages in the State. The suspects, identified as Ikechukwu Okeke 42 years old and Okeke Chukwuemeka 38 years old were arrested in the early hours of today 15th June 2026,  following credible intelligence received by the Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of a syndicate specializing in the adulteration and counterfeiting of various alcoholic beverages. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime and subsequently led operatives to their mini-factory. At the facility, Police operatives recovered several suspected adulterated alcoholic products, including Seaman’s Schnapps, McDowell’s, Eagle Schnapps, ...

 University of Ghana: John Dumelo Donates 500 Bags of Rice to Vulnerable Students 


Ghanaian actor who doubles as a politician, John Dumelo, keeps showing up with his philanthropic duties as he donates five hundred bags of five kilograms of rice to some vulnerable students in the University of Ghana, Legon. 


Ayawaso West Wuogun constituency member of Parliament, John Dumelo, presented the bags of rice through the Dean of Students, Professor Rosina Kyeremanten.


The Students' Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Ghana officially launched the Food Bank and “Ketewa Biara Nsua” initiatives in May 2023, as part of the Council's 65th anniversary celebrations. 


Taking to Facebook, the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture shared the photo and caption, "This morning I donated 500 5kg bags of rice to the university of Ghana through the Dean of students, Prof. Rosina Kyeremanten. The food bank initiative was launched by UG to help financially vulnerable students who find it hard to sometimes have 3 square meals on campus. #idey4u."
