 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s body to be transported to Los Angeles . 

Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s body is being prepared for return to Los Angeles after his remains were released to his family following the completion of an autopsy in Costa Rica. Officials confirmed that the autopsy was finalized on Wednesday morning, and his body is expected to depart Costa Rica on Thursday, arriving in Los Angeles by Friday morning.

The U.S. Embassy is assisting Warner’s family with arrangements to bring him home. According to sources familiar with the situation, Warner had been in Costa Rica with his daughter as part of a homeschooling program. His wife, who had been with them in the country weeks earlier, was not present at the time of the incident and reportedly learned of his passing via a phone call.

Warner, 54, tragically died by accidental drowning at a beach without lifeguards. He was found unresponsive in the water and could not be revived. Authorities also confirmed that a 29-year-old Nicaraguan man involved in the same incident was treated and released without complications.
