 Recording Academy adds five new Grammy categories, updates rules for 2026 awards NEW YORK - The Recording Academy is introducing five new categories and making several rule changes for the 2026 Grammy Awards in an effort to reflect the evolving global music landscape. Among the new additions is a best Asian pop music performance category, which will honor performances across genres such as K-pop, J-pop, C-pop and other Asian pop styles, with the award going to performers. A new best traditional pop vocal performance category will recognize artists whose work does not fit within modern pop styles. A best Latin song category will spotlight songwriters for Spanish-language Latin recordings. Changes are also coming to existing categories in R&B and folk music. The academy is adding a best R&B collaboration or duo/group performance category alongside a revised best R&B solo performance award.  YEMI SOLADE APOLOGIZES FOR SLAPPING AFEEZ OWO 20 YEARS AGO


Nollywood A-List actor, Yemi Solade, has offered apologies for slapping fellow actor Afeez Abiodun, popularly known as Afeez Owo, 20 years ago.


Solade said they had just filming a movie at the outskirts of Ibadan and returned to their rented accomodation to find complete electricity outage.


He said he and others complained to Afeez who was the production manager to do something about the situation but he didn't take them seriously.


Then he landed Afeez a slap. 


“Let me apologise to Afeez Abiodun," Solade said. "I slapped him once. So Afeez, I’m sorry, ma binu simi. It’s been a long time, like 20 years. I don’t like insults, and that could be my weakness."

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
