A 17 year old female student from Yobe state, Nafisa Abdullahi has made history emerging as the world's best in English language at the prestigious 2025 TeenEagle English language skills competition held in London,United Kingdom.
Competing against over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, Nafisa clinched the top spot at the UK Global finals, outperforming peers from both English speaking nations and other global contenders .

Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC),Yobe state, Nafisa's success is being celebrated as a product of her dedication, access to quality education and the enabling environment created by the state's leadership.
The Senior Special Assistant, quoted a family member of Nafisa, Malam Hassan Salihu praising the government for its instrumental support, saying that their daughter's global success wouldn't have been possible without the extraordinary support of Governor Mai Mala Buni for the education sector in Yobe state.
He also commended the management and teaching staff of NTIC for their vital role in shaping Nafisa's academic journey.
Yusuf Ali noted that Governor Mai Mala Buni who has consistently prioritised education as a cornerstone of development in Yobe ,is being widely applauded for his ongoing reforms and strategic investments in the sector; investments that are now yielding international recognition.
Nafisa's triumph, particularly in a field dominated by native English speaking countries, stands as a powerful testament to what Nigerian youth can achieve when given the right opportunity and support .
