 Again, Gov Diri Tasks Traditional Rulers To Maintain Peace, Security At King Awala's Coronation  Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has again urged traditional rulers to remain focused on the maintenance of peace, security and stability in their various domains as part of their contribution towards the development of the state. Governor Diri made the call at the weekend during the coronation ceremony ofHis Royal Majesty King Victor Awala, Ebeni-Ibe the Eighth (VIII) of Atissa Kingdom in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, at the Bishop Dimieari Grammar School, Yenagoa, the state capital. Represented by his deputy, Dr Peter Akpe, the Bayelsa Chief Executive acknowledged the critical role traditional rulers play in society as the custodians of culture and tradition, stressing that his administration will continue to hold them in high esteem. Kano gov gives land, N5m to families of 22 deceased athletes


Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has donated N5 million and a plot of land to each of the families of the 22 athletes who died in a tragic auto crash while returning from the National Sports Festival in Ogun State.


The athletes, who represented Kano at the festival in June, won six gold, 13 silver, and 10 bronze medals before their demise in Dakatsalle town, Bebeji Local Government Area, about 50km from Kano.


The deceased included athletes, coaches, a journalist, medical staff, drivers, and mechanics.


Governor Yusuf’s Special Adviser on Information Strategy, Ibrahim Adam, confirmed the gesture in a statement via Facebook on Wednesday.


“The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has donated a plot of land and N5 million to each of the 22 families of the deceased Kano athletes,” he wrote.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
