  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Southeast getting better since Simon Ekpa’s arrest – CDS Musa 


Following the arrest of Simon Ekoa, a pro-Biafran agitator by the Finnish government, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa has said that security in the South East region has improved.


Musa while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today said the arrest of Ekpa in November 2024 has brought relative peace in the Southeast.


He also said that he is hopeful about the prosecution of the Biafran agitator.


Musa noted that troops of the Nigerian Military have also activated operations to apprehend Ekpa’s lieutenants in Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi and Abia states – all in the Southeast zone.


The defence chief said, “He (Ekpa) is still undergoing prosecution in Finland. So, we are hopeful. When we talked about him, people thought we were making noise, but since he has been arrested, the Southeast is getting better.


“We are going to go after the likes of him, wherever they are, and whatever it takes until we bring them down.


“That’s why the Ansaru (leaders’ arrest) is a good win for all of us. There are other ones we don’t talk about, we will also look at them and pull them out,” Musa stated.
