 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Tears As Seven Victims Of Ungwan Rimi Attack Laid To Rest In Kauru


The community of Ungwan Rimi in Kamuru ward was thrown into mourning on Saturday as seven residents killed in last week’s gunmen attack were laid to rest.


Family members, friends, and sympathizers gathered in grief as the victims were buried amid wails and prayers. 


The August 24 assault left seven people dead, several injured, and parts of the community destroyed, marking yet another tragedy in Kaduna’s Kauru Local Government Area.


Community leaders described the burial as a painful reminder of the fragility of life in the face of recurring violence, while many residents expressed anger over what they see as government failure to protect rural communities from incessant attacks.


“The loss of these innocent lives is a wound on our hearts. We can only pray for healing and for God’s mercy on our land,” one mourner said.
