 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Enugu Priest killing : Police Arrest 38 Suspects


The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Police Command, CP Mamman Giwa, has ordered the intensification of the ongoing manhunt for the armed men who shot and murdered Rev Fr Matthew Eya.


Fr Eya was shot dead by alleged kidnappers in the night hours of 19th September 2025, along Eha-Ndiagu Eha-Etiti Road in Eha-Alumona community of Nsukka Local Government Area.


This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, in a release on Sunday.


According to him, “CP Giwa had earlier directed the Udenu Area Commander, alongside Heads of Tactical and Operational Squads of the Command, to fish out the fleeing assailants upon receipt of information on the incident.”


He said as a result, police operatives under the Udenu Area Command’s coverage have arrested thirty-eight suspects, following bush combing and raids of different black spots in the area.
