 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.  FG INAUGURATES GOVERNING COUNCILS OF FOUR NEW SPECIALIZED UNIVERSITIES


The federal government is making good on its promises to deliver specialized institutions to tackle urgent and interconnected issues confronting the nation and the world, such as food security, public health, climate change, renewable energy, and technological innovation.


Minister of education Dr Tunji Alausa stated this while inaugurating the governing councils and principal officers of four new specialised institutions of learning that will serve as engines of local economic growth, centres of community development, and platforms for building human capacity to advance national productivity and global competitiveness.


The universities are, Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho ,Oyo State, Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, Zamfara State, Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano; and the Federal University of Education, Zaria ,Kaduna State
