 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Group Pays Working Visit to Anambra Commissioner For Industry, Seeks Government Support

The Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu has received members of The Pivot in his office; a platform that nurtures visionary thinking, bold discourse, and collaborative action towards building a just and prosperous society.


The group, led by Barr. Ifedi Nwosu, was in the commissioner’s office on a working visit also to seek partnership and the state government support for its upcoming summit.


They appealed for sponsorship opportunities and a review of the International Conference Centre rates to enable them to use the facility in hosting their programme.


While addressing the visitors, Commissioner Udechukwu assured them of the state government’s readiness to continue supporting ideas that would foster innovation, industrial growth and economic prosperity across the state.


He emphasized that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration remains committed to creating an enabling environment for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and youth-led initiatives to thrive, as they are critical to achieving a productive, livable, and prosperous homeland.


Speaking, the leader of The Pivot, Barr. Nwosu reiterated their vision of gathering progressive voices across Africa to drive sustainable change through deep reflection and deliberate action.


The visit ended with both parties agreeing to explore avenues of collaboration that would enhance industrial development and youth empowerment in the state.
