 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  KEPA General Manager Quits, Wishes Gov. Uba Sani Success


The General Manager of the Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA), Dr. Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu, has resigned from his position.


In a letter dated September 6, 2025, and addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Arrigasiyyu announced his voluntary resignation with immediate effect.


He referenced his appointment letter dated December 12, 2023, and expressed gratitude while wishing Governor Uba Sani a successful tenure in office.


His resignation letter partly reads:


"I wish to notify you of my decision to voluntarily resign with immediate effect. I wish the governor, His Excellency Mallam Uba Sani, a successful tenure in office."
