 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Nigeria reaffirms ties with Qatar on its 54th Independence Day


Nigeria congratulates the State of Qatar on its 54th anniversary of independence. 


Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, conveyed warm felicitations, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties in trade, energy, security & education.


Yusuf Tuggar, in a message to Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, commends the resilience, unity, and progress of the Qatari people. 


He also recognises the two nations’ collaboration within the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other global platforms aimed at promoting peace, development, and security.


Nigeria, therefore, reaffirms its readiness to deepen bilateral ties and explore new areas of partnership for mutual benefit, while wishing Qatar continued peace, prosperity, and national advancement.
