 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Pretoria Police Constable Holds Family Hostage in Mamelodi, Ends in Tragedy


Disturbing news has emerged from Pretoria after a 32-year-old police constable held his family hostage in Mamelodi on Monday.


Reports indicate that the constable kept his family under siege from the morning, not allowing them to move or do anything. Police, including the Special Task Force, were called to the scene.


According to information received, the constable had discovered that his wife was allegedly cheating with his brother, a matter the entire family reportedly knew about except him.


During the standoff, he allegedly attempted to shoot his grandmother, but his 18-year-old nephew intervened and was fatally shot. Shortly after the incident, the constable turned the gun on himself and took his own life.


Police investigations into the tragic incident are continuing.
