You Can't Owe People And Come Out To Say You Want To Be Governor,They'll Come After You- Jude Idimogu

Former House Of Assembly Member, Jude Omobowale Idimogu has weighed in on the viral video showing the Anambra APC Governorship candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, being confronted by alleged debtors in Abuja during an interview on Voice of the People TV.

Idimogu, known for his vocal stance on accountability and transparency in leadership, did not mince words when discussing the implications of the video. He asserted that a candidate's private financial conduct is inextricably linked to their public persona and their ability to govern effectively.

"You can't be owing people and come out and say you want to be Governor, That's the best opportunity for your debtors; they will come after you."

The activist's comments highlight a broader conversation about the expectations placed on those who seek public office.

Voters often look for candidates who demonstrate a level of personal responsibility and ethical conduct, believing these traits are indicative of how they would manage public funds and the affairs of the state.

Idimogu's analysis suggests that what happened to Ukachukwu in that video is not merely a personal matter but a political liability that can be exploited by opponents and, more importantly, can erode public trust.
