 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Abia State Police Command Commences Enforcement of Tinted Glass Permits


1. In line with existing Federal laws and directives, and following extensive public enlightenment through various media platforms, and extensions of enforcement period to allow members of the public ample time to obtain their tinted glass permits.


2. The Abia State Police Command wishes to inform the public that the enforcement of tinted glass permits will commence on Thursday, 2nd October 2025.


3. Since the online registration process is currently ongoing, members of the public who are yet to obtain their permits are advised to:

Visit the Nigeria Police Specialized Services Automation Project (POSSAP) via the official website: www.possap.gov.ng.


Visit the State Intelligence Department (SID) of the Command for capturing.

4. The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, in his briefing, directed officers to remain professional, respect the rights of members of the public, and desist from exploiting the exercise for extortion.
