 BENUE: ONE BEHEADED AS RIVAL CULT GROUPS CLASH IN NORTHBANK, MAKURDI

A deadly cult clash in the Northbank area of Makurdi, Benue State, has resulted in the gruesome beheading of a young man in the early hours of Tuesday.


Eyewitnesses said the confrontation between rival cult groups threw the area into chaos, forcing residents to flee for safety. The cause of the renewed violence is yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.


Security operatives have been deployed to the area to restore order and prevent further escalation. Authorities have urged residents to remain calm and promptly report any suspicious movements.
