 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. In a remarkable display of courage, resilience, and faith, 25-year-old Zach Anglin, a Nigerian-born aviator raised in the United States, has achieved what many once thought impossible — becoming a certified commercial pilot despite being born without hands or feet.


Zach’s journey to the skies was far from easy. After facing five rejections from aviation programs, he persevered, determined to prove that physical limitations could not define his destiny. Through intense FAA training, unwavering discipline, and a belief that “you can’t be held by your limitations,” he finally earned his wings — making aviation history in the process.


Today, Zach not only flies commercial aircraft but also serves as a flight instructor, mentoring aspiring pilots and inspiring individuals with disabilities to pursue their passions without fear.


His story has become a powerful symbol of possibility — showing that with faith, perseverance, and purpose, even the greatest challenges can become stepping stones to greatness.


Zach Anglin’s achievement is more than personal triumph; it’s a message to the world that the sky is never the limit — it’s just the beginning.
