 IMO STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE OF 6TH DECEMBER, 2025 IMO POLICE COMMAND INTENSIFY CRACKDOWN ON KIDNAPPING, VIOLENT CRIMES ALONG OWERRI–ABA EXPRESSWAY As part of ongoing efforts to curb kidnapping and other violent crimes along the Owerri–Aba Expressway, a high-powered team led by the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma on Saturday, 6th December, 2025, inspected suspected kidnappers hideouts in Umuhu Autonomous Community in Ngor-Okpala following credible intelligence on Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, currently at large. The delegation included the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Chioma Egu; Chief Pathologist, Imo State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibeaja Okechukwu; members of the Ngor Okpala Vigilante Group led by Mr. Henry Ikpe; and the Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon. NAFDAC STRATEGISES ON ELIMINATING TRANS-FATTY ACIDS; LAUNCHES ROADMAP. (PHOTO).

 NAFDAC Strategises On Eliminating Trans-Fatty Acids; Launches Roadmap


 National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has launched the Strategy and Roadmap for Trans-Fatty Acid (TFA) Regulation in Nigeria. 

This reaffirms nigeria's commitment to safeguarding public health by eliminatinga dangerous dietary risk linked to heart disease, stroke, and premature death.

 Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, highlighted that Nigeria has already taken bold steps, including setting regulatory limits of no more than 2 grams of industrially produced trans fat per 100 grams of total fat or oil. In recognition of this effort, Nigeria was named by WHO in 2023 as one of only seven countries worldwide that have adopted best- practice TFA elimination policies. 

The newly launched roadmap outlines a phased approach focused on industry reformulation, laboratory strengthening, compliance monitoring, public education, and cross-sector collaboration. With support from partners such as Resolve to Save Lives, WHO, and other stakeholders, NAFDAC has also expanded its laboratory capacity to analyse TFAs, marking significant progress toward full implementation. 

Prof. Adeyeye called on government agencies, industry, civil society, and consumers to Work together to achieve WHO validation of Nigeria's programme: "Eliminating industrially produced trans fats is possible, achievable, and urgent. 

With this roadmap, Nigeria is determined to protect the health of its citizens and secure a food supply free from the dangers of trans-fatty acids" she affirmed.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
