  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Nelly Furtado to step back from performing for the foreseeable future

Nelly Furtado has announced she is stepping away from live performances for the “foreseeable future.”

The singer, known for hits like “Maneater,” shared the news on Instagram Friday, reflecting on her 25-year career since the release of her debut album Whoa, Nelly! She said it’s time to focus on “other creative and personal endeavors,” though she emphasized that she will continue writing music, even if she isn’t performing it.

Furtado also acknowledged the next generation of artists, wishing them “many years of fruitful and passionate performance,” signaling a full step back from the stage. The announcement comes shortly after her return with 7, her first album in seven years, released in September 2024, which had reignited her connection to fans and younger audiences. For now, she says the focus is on passing the torch while exploring new paths beyond performing.
