 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. The Federal Government says as Nigeria matches towards greatness, the renewed hope solarization project is one key initiative of the present administration that is delivering clean and affordable electricity to millions of Nigerians 


A statement by the Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi on the occasion of Nigeria's 65 independence anniversary states that the solarization project of the present administration remains the most ambitious project by any government since independence to electrify communities in the country 


The solarization project will in addition deliver significant economic and social benefits including job creation in solar manufacturing installation and maintenance while fostering innovation among Nigerian engineers and entrepreneurs.


Energy Commission of Nigeria which is driving the broader energy reform restates that the solarization project is expected to be the spark that ignites Nigeria's energy revolution with a future where clean and affordable power is accessible to all 


So far the project has provided solar home systems and solar mini grids to hospitals schools and public institutions across the country in the last two years
