  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Significant Breakthrough in Armed Robbery/Car Snatch , Suspect Arrested.


The Rivers State Police Command has made another remarkable achievement in a swift operation and investigation into the viral video circulating on the social media space, depicting an armed robbery incident at Choba area of Port Harcourt on October 15, 2025. The incident which occurred at about 1500hrs, involved the snatching of a Toyota Avalon car at gunpoint.


Through intelligence-led Policing and technical support, Operatives of the Command has successfully apprehended one of the suspects, identified as Iruo Young M. 'm' aged 42 years, at his hideout in Ikoku, Port Harcourt. 


During interrogation, the suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime, providing detailed information about his involvement in the robbery incident.


The suspect is currently in Police custody, and an in-depth investigation has been launched to apprehend the other fleeing suspects, recover the stolen vehicle, and retrieve the firearms used in the commission of the crime.


The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, psc, mnips, has commended the operatives involved in the operation for their diligence and swift response, which led to the suspect's arrest. He has also expressed gratitude to the public for their support and cooperation in sharing credible information that facilitated the arrest. The Commissioner has warned that the State will not provide a hiding place for criminals, emphasizing the Command's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in the State.
