Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  Trump to hold bilateral meeting with China’s Xi next Thursday 

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Thursday that President Donald Trump will embark on a multi-nation trip to Asia beginning Friday night, with a key meeting scheduled with Chinese President Xi Jinping next Thursday. The two leaders are set to meet in Busan, South Korea, on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit, where they are expected to discuss trade and regional security. The meeting follows Trump’s recent announcement of sweeping 100% tariffs on Chinese imports, a move that has heightened tensions between Washington and Beijing.

Trump’s Asia trip will include stops in Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. He will depart the White House late Friday and arrive in Malaysia on Sunday morning local time, where he will meet with the Malaysian prime minister and attend the ASEAN leaders’ working dinner that evening. On Monday, Trump is scheduled to travel to Tokyo for talks with Japan’s new prime minister, Sanae Takaichi, before heading to Busan to meet with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung. The visit will conclude with Trump’s bilateral meeting with Xi before returning to Washington. The Busan meeting marks the first in-person discussion between Trump and Xi since their last encounter at the G20 Summit in Osaka in 2019.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
