 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Abia Government to Immortalise Prof. Nnennaya Oti for Her Integrity


Abia state Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, has announced that his administration will immortalise the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Professor Nnennnaya Oti, for upholding truth and integrity and refusing to compromise standards during the 2023 general elections.


Governor Otti who was speaking at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba, during a grand civic reception held in his honour by the Old Bende people under the umbrella of the Old Bende Progressive Union, comprising the 8 LGAS of Old Bende including the people of Edda in Ebonyi State wherein Prof. Nnennaya Oti was honored by the Union.


The Governor who described Prof. Nnennaya Oti as a woman of integrity and credibility, noted that her uncommon courage during the 2023 Governorship election earned her the respect of all Nigerians and  congratulated her on the honor done her by the Old Bende people.
