 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  FG PLANS ELECTRICITY SUBSIDY FOR VULNERABLE CONSUMERS


The Federal Government says it will support vulnerable customers who cannot afford to pay full cost of electricity when cost reflective tariff is implemented.


Managing Director of the Nigerian Independent System Operator, Abdu Bello Mohammed said this at a roundtable engagement with the Power correspondents in Abuja


With the theme, "Cost reflective tariff versus energy poverty: finding a pricing balance in Nigeria's power sector, stakeholders agree that while cost reflective tariff is necessary for the growth of the sector, there must be improvement in availability and quality in electricity supply.


Also challenges of technical and commercial losses should be addressed and grid be decentralised to reduce transmission losses while investment in distribution network especially transformers and metering be increased

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
