AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. FORMER LOVE ISLAND WINNER JACK FINCHAM HAS SHARED A DEEPLY PERSONAL UPDATE ON HIS LIFE AFTER FAME. (PHOTO).

Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham has shared a deeply personal update on his life after fame.

The 2018 champion, who once enjoyed huge success with brand deals and a massive following, has revealed he lost over £1 million and around a million Instagram followers as personal struggles took over.

The 33-year-old says addictions to drugs, alcohol, and gambling led to losing everything he had built. At his lowest point last year, during a trip away with girlfriend Chloe Brockett, a severe moment of despair left him with a badly broken ankle after jumping from a hotel balcony while under the influence. He has also spoken openly about serving a short prison sentence earlier this year following an incident involving his dog.

Jack is taking full responsibility for his actions and says fame made existing issues much worse. Now sober and determined, he’s going back to his roots—training hard as a boxer and planning to return to tattooing. With the support of Chloe and his family, he’s focused on rebuilding his life step by step, one day at a time.

His honest story is one of accountability, recovery, and starting again from scratch. Wishing Jack strength on his journey ahead.
