No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. However, once Deiter was pulled to safety, he repaid a stranger's kindness with treachery.  Deiter shoved the captain from his own boat and fled the scene in the stolen boat, leaving the man who had just risked his own vessel and life...

FRSC Announces Temporary Traffic Diversion On Kaduna–Zaria Expressway

The Kaduna State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has alerted motorists traveling along the Kaduna–Zaria expressway to a temporary traffic diversion at Kilometre 49, Gwaranza Village.

In a statement released on Saturday in Kaduna, the Sector Commander, Tijjani Iliyasu, said the diversion is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction work on an overpass at the site, part of the Kaduna–Kano Standard Gauge Railway Project.

“This is to inform the motoring public, especially those plying the Kaduna–Zaria route, that there will be a temporary diversion of traffic at KM 49, Gwaranza Village,” Iliyasu stated. “The measure will enable smooth progress of the ongoing construction.”

He noted that the diversion will take effect from November 1, 2025, and remain in place until further notice.

Motorists are advised to exercise patience and comply with road signs and officials’ directions. For emergencies, the FRSC urged drivers to call its toll-free number 122 or 0913 960 1839.
