Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply. … Applauds Rich Cultural Heritage, Spiritual Significance Of Event


The Lagos State Government has joined the organisers and participants to mark the 2025 Olókun World Festival, a vibrant celebration of Yoruba heritage, spirituality and cultural unity.


In line with the State’s unwavering commitment to cultural sustainability, the State Government commends the innovative milestone achieved by the festival organisers with the unveiling of Kakanfo Fálọlá Beachside, located along the Badagry Expressway, Seme-Border Lagos State. The landmark event, held on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, drew over 100,000 adherents and attendees from across Nigeria and the global diaspora.


Representing the State Government, Mr. Idowu Johnson, CEO of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to preserving and promoting indigenous traditions, saying “Culture is our soul, while heritage is our compass” he declared.


He emphasised that in the vibrant tapestry of Lagos, cultural heritage is not a relic of the past but a living force that shapes identity, fosters unity, and inspires innovation. Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Lagos continues to make bold strides in the presentation, preservation, propagation, and protection of cultural heritage.


Speaking at the event, Iba Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, highlighted the strategic relocation of the festival to the newly developed Kakanfo Fálọlá Beach, designed to accommodate large crowds and elevate the festival’s global appeal. The beachside venue offers a scenic and expansive setting for performances, rituals, and exhibitions.


He also reaffirmed his commitment to cultural tourism through the development of the Olókun Beach Resort, a personal contribution aimed at positioning Lagos as a leading tourism hub in Africa.  


 “Culture drives tourism,” he stated, underscoring the vital role of heritage in economic and social development.


The resort, currently under development, will feature international-standard facilities to serve Olókun divinity worshippers, cultural adherents, and global visitors. It is expected to become a beacon of cultural celebration, spiritual reflection, and international engagement, enriching Lagos State’s tourism landscape.


The event was graced by high-profile dignitaries, including Oba De-Wheno Aholu Toyi I, the Akran of Badagry, alongside over 30 traditional rulers and cultural custodians from across Nigeria and the diaspora.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
