 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Man Electrocuted While Installing Prepaid Meter in Aba


A yet-to-be-identified man has died after being electrocuted during the installation of a prepaid electricity meter at Obikabia Junction in the Ogbor Hill area of Aba.


Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred when the victim came into contact with a live wire while carrying out the installation.


As of the time of this report, details regarding the deceased's identity and the full circumstances of the tragedy remain limited.


Authorities are conducting investigations and are expected to issue an official statement in due course.
