 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. Pope Leo hosts cathedral rave featuring Priest DJ to mark Archbishop’s 75th birthday 


In an unprecedented blend of spirituality and modern culture, the Vatican marked the 75th birthday of Archbishop Bernard Bober with a large outdoor rave organised outside St. Elisabeth Cathedral in Košice, Slovakia.


According to organisers, Pope Leo XIV approved the celebration and invited a popular priest DJ to lead the event, drawing thousands of attendees to the cathedral square.

A heartfelt video message from the Pope was played on the massive screen overlooking the crowd before the event transitioned into an energetic performance mixing electronic dance music with spiritual themes. Witnesses described the atmosphere as a “fusion of faith and festival culture,” noting the enthusiastic response from young people across the region.


Observers say the celebration reflects the Pope’s broader effort to engage younger generations and bring religious life into the modern era. The turnout in Košice, believed to be in the thousands, has been praised as a positive sign of renewed youth engagement with the Church.
